Led by another strong all-around performance from senior Lorena Fajardo, the Union Catholic gymnastics team evened its record at 4-4 with a 101.1–90.45 victory over South Brunswick on Monday at South Brunswick.
Fajardo was outstanding once again, capturing the all-around title with a score of 35.65, highlighted by first-place finishes on vault (9.1), bars (8.75), beam (8.95), and floor (8.9).
Sophomore Sarah Donnelly also contributed a strong all-around effort for the Vikings, finishing second on the team with 32.2 points, including an 8.65 on vault and an 8.05 on bars.
Junior Aubrey DelCorsano continued her consistent season with top-three scores on vault (8.45), bars (8.05), and beam (8.5), while Gabriella Contreras (8.15 on floor, 7.8 on bars) and Ervnie Jules-Vincent (7.9 on floor, 7.85 on bars) added key routines that helped UC surpass the 100-point mark for the third time this season.
Union Catholic's depth across all four events proved decisive as the Vikings outscored South Brunswick in every rotation.
