The Union Catholic gymnastics team delivered a strong performance at the Union County Championships on Thursday at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, finishing fourth overall with a team score of 101.875.

The Vikings were led by sophomore standout Lorena Fajardo, who shined across all events to place fourth in the all-around competition. Fajardo also earned an impressive second-place finish on the floor exercise with one of the top routines of the meet.

Freshman Aubrey DelCorsano continued her strong debut season by placing fifth on floor, giving Union Catholic two of the top-five finishers in that event.

The Vikings' fourth-place showing capped another strong county meet for the program, which continues to build momentum as it heads into the final stretch of the season.
