The Union Catholic girls soccer team continued its hot streak on Saturday, rallying from an early deficit to defeat Rahway on the road, 3-1, for its fourth straight win.
The victory improves the Vikings to 7-2 on the season.
Rahway (4-3) opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Danielle Maher struck for the home team. But UC answered quickly, as Rebecca Frank buried the equalizer in the 19th minute off a perfect feed from Molly Pickel.
The Vikings took control in the second half.
In the 49th minute, Hailey Mullaney put UC ahead 2-1 off an assist from Lyric Cummings. Mullaney then set up a goal in the 74th, feeding Sophie Peterson for the insurance goal that sealed the win.
Mullaney led the attack with a goal and an assist, while Frank and Peterson each added tallies. Pickel and Cummings chipped in with assists to highlight the Vikings' balanced offense.
In goal, Rylee Curtis made four saves to earn the victory and keep UC's winning streak alive.
