Cameron Kelly pitched a five-inning one-hitter, and also hit a home run and drove in five runs to lead ninth-seeded Union Catholic to a 10-0 win over eighth-seeded Our Lady of Mercy in the first round of the South Jersey, Non-Public A softball tournament on Thursday in Newfield.
Kelly went 3-for-3 at the plate, also including a double, and she struck out four batters.
Hannah Buniak also hit a home run and drove in two runs for Union Catholic (11-12), which will play at top-seeded Notre Dame in the quarterfinal round.
Sarah Potts singled and drove in three runs for the Vikings.
