Pardo and Buniak spark UC softball team to victory over Kent Place
Belina Pardo and
Hannah Buniak led a big offensive explosion for the Union Catholic softball team when the Vikings defeated Kent Place 17-7 on Thursday in Summit.
Pardo, who went 5-for-5 with 3 runs batted in, doubled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
The Vikings scored nine runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Buniak drew a walk, scoring one run,
Kaylie Rivera drew a walk, scoring one run, Kajsa Svensson doubled in two runs,
Isabella Martins singled home a run, scoring and
Jenna Risley singled in a pair of runs, and Pardo plated two runs with a double.
Uc extended their lead to 14-4 with five runs in the third inning. Buniak cleared the bases with a 3-run triple, and Pardo and
Bella Donnelly each singled in a run.
Kelsey Edmondson earned the win for Vikings. She allowed six hits and struck out five over 5 innings
The Vikings tallied 13 hits in the game and drew 10 walks.
