Caroline Parker, who each homered and combined for seven runs bated in, ignited the Union Catholic softball team to an 11-1 road victory over Roselle on Wednesday for its fifth straight win.
Union Catholic, now 9-1 under first-year coach AJ Bonadies, was locked in a 1-1 tie until the Vikings exploded for 10 runs in the fifth inning to win the game. Sot delivered a grand slam and Parker also homered and drove in three runs during the 10-run uprising. Also in the pivotal fifth inning,
Sarah Potts knocked in 2 runs and Aniyah Fleming drove in a run.
UC pitcher
Lilah Reidy struck out eight and allowed just one hit in the complete-game victory.
The Vikings will seek its sixth straight victory and 10th of the season on Friday at Kent Place at 4 p.m.
