Cat Holt breaks the Union Catholic record for career goals in girls lacrosse
Catherine Holt wasted no time breaking the Union Catholic school record for most career goals in Thursday's game vs. Parsippany in Scotch Plains.
The senior took a pass from
Shannon McGuinness and fired in a shot from close range early in the first quarter to give Holt the 201st goal of her legendary career as she became the greatest goal scorer in UC girls lacrosse history. Holt came into the game tied with 2015 graduate Morgan Sosnowski for the school record with 200 goals.
Holt scored five more goals in the game to raise her record total to 206 to lead UC to a 15-7 victory as the Vikings improved to 4-1 on the season.
Senior
Eleanor Costello added 4 goals for the Vikings to give her 97 career goals.
Molly Pickel scored twice for UC, and McGuinness,
Delaney Farrell, and Charlotte Donnelly each scored a goal.
Junior goalie Jules Landicho made 10 saves to increase her school record total to 412 career saves.
