The Union Catholic golf team opened their season with impressive wins over Dayton and Johnson in blustery conditions on Thursday at the Shackamaxon Golf Club in Scotch Plains.

The Vikings combined to score a combined 185 to defeat Johnson (191) and Dayton (198)

Senior Henry Hiel shot a 45, freshman David Penna and junior Jimmy Donnelly both shot 46 in their debuts, and senior twins Kate and Brooke LaBarge each shot 48!
