UC boys cross-country team finishes season very strong at Nike NE Regional
The Union Catholic boys cross-country team, ranked No. 8 in the state, finished their season with a very strong eighth-place at the Nike Northeast Regional Championships on November 23rd at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
The Vikings, who scored with 361 points and averaged 17:15 with a compression of 41 seconds, finished ahead of eight teams ranked in the top 20 in New Jersey, including No. 3 Cherokee and No. 4 Westfield.
The five scorers for the Vikings were sophomore
Danny Kuran, 67th in 17:02, senior
Aidan Cichocki, 69th in 17:04, junior
Elijah McCoy, 84th in 17:10, sophomore
Finn Riely, 98th in 17:18, and freshman Manny Sanchez,140th in 17:43. Sophomore
Nick Frank finished 151st in 17:50, and senior
Michael Devine also ran 17:50 to finish 153rd.
