The Union Catholic girls tennis team evened its record at 1-1 with a dominant 5-0 victory over Rahway on Wednesday afternoon at Kramer Manor Park.

The Vikings were in top form, winning every match in straight sets, except for a thrilling three-set battle at first singles.

Senior Danielle Chuy led the way at first singles with a hard-fought 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-3) victory over Arya Chawada..

At second singles, Elizabeth Adegboyega turned in a commanding performance with a 6-0, 6-1 win, while Ella Moritz overpowered her opponent at third singles, not dropping a game in her 6-0, 6-0 shutout.

The Vikings' doubles teams were equally dominant. Sonia Allen and Caroline Cleaveland rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first doubles, and the duo of Dulce De Ocampo and Bella Lin matched that result at second doubles, sealing a clean sweep for the Vikings.
