UC baseball team wins on Senior Day

The Union Catholic baseball team celebrated Senior Day on Monday with a 10-1 victory over Roselle Catholic in Scotch Plains.

The Vikings erupted for five runs in the first inning and starter Matt Weddle and reliever Santiago Alvarez limited Roselle Catholic to just five hits as the Vikings improved to 8-6 on the season. Ryan Bevensee knocked in two runs, and Nick Pellegrino, Nick Anderson, Brian McCabe, ad Greg Viloroa each drove in a run for the Vikings. Adrian Rojas doubled and scored three runs for the Vikings.
