Aska, Cox, Holley Lead Strong Performances by UC T&F Teams at Hall of Fame Invit.
Union Catholic's track and field team, led by Taylor Aska,Taylor Cox and Morgan Holley, delivered several outstanding performances at the JAMBAR Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York.
Competing against loaded competition, Union Catholic athletes stood out across several events.
Aska, who is headed to Duke University, blasted a 37.79, the third fastest time in NJ history, to win the girls 300. Aska put her name right next to some legendary all-time greats on the state's all-time list. The only two NJ athletes who have run faster in the girls 300 in NJ history are Olympic gold medalists Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone of Union Catholic (36.82 in 2017) and Athing Mu of Trenton (37.36 in 2020). Sydney Chadwick ran 39.49 to place seventh in the 300.
Cox, who is committed to the University of Georgia, continued her red hot start in the hurdles, matching her US No. 1 time in the 55 hurdles when she ripped a meet record 7.76! Cox is the reigning indoor and outdoor national champion in the high hurdles.
Holley, a sophomore, had a huge day. She won the long jump by soaring 18-4, finished sixth in the high jump a 5-0, and ran 8.47 to finish sixth in the 55 hurdles.

Kiara Fleming, a junior, had a big day in the jumps. She finished second in both the high jump (5-4) and triple jump (38-5.50) and ran 8.66 in the hurdles
Girls 400 Meter Dash – Varsity: Union Catholic athletes dominated the 400m event, with three runners finishing in the top eight:

Abriyah Thompson claimed second place with an impressive time of 57.82 seconds.

Maya Wyche closely followed, securing third place with a time of 58.32 seconds.

Jola Strayhorn earned seventh place, clocking in at 1:00.25
Girls 4x200 Meter Relay – Large Varsity: Union Catholic's relay team delivered an impressive performance, placing third in 1:44.71, No. 3 in the state third fastest time in the state this season..

BOYS COMPETITION
The UC boys had several impressive performances.
Boys 4x200 Meter Relay – Large Varsity:
Union Catholic's relay team delivered a stellar performance in the 4x200, demonstrating excellent teamwork and speed. The quartet of Gavin Naar, Noah Cooper, Kenny Graham, and Chris Wilson clocked an impressive time of 1:31.49 to win the race. Their time is the third fastest in the state this season!!
Keandre Kelly, a junior, blasted a school record 1:05.66 to win his heat and place fourth overall.
Jumps:
Noah Cooper exhibited his skill in the long jump, delivering a strong performance with a leap of 22-1.75 to place second. Ron Ingleton finished fourth in the triple jump with a 42-0.
Boys Mile Run:
Quintin Clemons finished with a time of 4:36.93 in the mile to secure sixth place. .
Boys 400 Meter :
Quintin Clemons also competed in the 400-meter dash, placing third in 53.09.ac
Boys 55 Meter Hurdles – Varsity:
Chris Wilson showcased his versatility when he ran 7.82 in the trials of the 55 hurdles.
