The Vikings defeated Morris Catholic, 62-45, on Saturday to improve to 15-10

The Union Catholic boys basketball team continued to show its resiliency by extending its winning streak to four in a row with a 62-45 victory over Morris Catholic on Saturday in Denville.

Ever since a tough setback to Johnson in the opening round of the Union County Tournament on Feb. 15, Coach Jim Reagan's Vikings have reeled off four straight impressive double-digit victories to improve to 15-10 on the season.

Senior forward Matt Tracey kept his torrid scoring pace going by leading the Vikings with 22 points. That gives Tracey 54 points in his last two games. Tracey pumped in 32 points in UC's win over Bridgewater-Raritan this past Wednesday.

The victory over Morris Catholic featured scoring from every Viking that suited up.

Al Richardson drained three 3-pointers for UC and finished with 11 points. Terrell Henderson, who has been a major contributor lately for UC, also scored 11 points. Elijah Barlow finished with six points, Caleb Reed and Bradley Young each had four, Jack Saggio scored three points, and Matt Rodriguez scored two points.

UC's four-game winning streak has come a great time as the Vikings have built great momentum heading into its opening round game in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Non-Public A Tournament vs. Dwight-Englewood this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at home.
