Information About The Crayon Club
The CRAYON Club, moderated by Mrs.
Nancy Saggio and Mrs. Cheryl Ross, is a club that spreads awareness about autism. It stands for Community Raising Autism- Awareness Yielding Opportunities Now.
We host 4 events at Union Catholic each year including a movie night, Christmas holiday party, Valentine's day party/dance and an end of year celebration. These events are for teens with special needs in the community.
Crayon club members help with the planning, organizing, set up and clean up of the events. They also interact with our guests and help them feel welcome. We also take field trips to school who service students with special needs. We also have participated in walk-a-thons to raise funds for autism. Everyone is welcome and this club is a great opportunity to help to others in the community.
